Eight-Week Grief Recovery Support

The eight-week recovery support group is an action-oriented grief recovery method proven to help grieving people resolve the pain, isolation, and loneliness caused by loss of any kind.

Through purpose-guided exercises, participants will discover and better know their relationship to the pain that leaves the griever emotionally incomplete after a death, a divorce, or any number of losses too numerous to list here.

Support is offered to adults suffering from grief as a result of a death of a loved one, separation, or those reported missing.

Grief Recovery Support in Your Community

We can come to your community to deliver a modified version of the eight-week grief recovery support group. A community service provider can contact us to arrange for this grief recovery support delivered in your community. We would need at least twelve participants.

These sessions typically last all day, six and a half to seven hours of intensive recovery group support through purpose-guided exercises. Participants will discover and better know their relationship to the pain that leaves the griever emotionally incomplete after a death, a divorce, or any number of losses too numerous to list here.

One-on-One Counseling Sessions

One-on-one counseling can be provided in person or online. We are equipped for this online service, where you can work from the convenience and comfort of your home or office.

You can use your computer, laptop, tablet, or cell phone for the video conference. We will ensure your privacy and confidentiality are maintained so that you feel comfortable and secure.

Indigenous Way of Healing

Indigenous way of healing is built into grief recovery support groups. Indigenous healing traditions, values, and practices are adapted to the needs of today, which offer immediate and long-term benefits to health and well-being.

These benefits are accessible through direct collective participation in ceremonies or one-on-one consultation with an Indigenous Knowledge Keeper to deal with historical trauma associated with colonialism, intergenerational trauma, and pain associated with grief and loss.

Cultural Teachings

Cultural teachings anchor indigenous sources of knowledge, indigenous ways of being, and cultural foundations defined in the context of a person's life, relationships, relational actions, and relationality that arise from community knowledge.

Cultural teachings are a means to connect with our ancestors, their teachings, and the way of life they left for us to practice, and provide spiritual guidance to everything we do. It is a space in which we discover the spiritual aspect of our being.

Cultural teachings can focus on smudging, fasting and sweat lodge ceremonies, and other traditional teachings.
